I actually used some of that stuff to repair cracks in the water filter cannister in a hot tub (that passes several gallons of warm/hot water a minute)-- and no leaks! I always keep some around. The ad copy on the packaging talks about how some city saved thousands of dollars by repairing a cracked engine block in a piece of heavy equipment rather than replacing it. Just be REAL sure you never want the two surfaces to come apart before you use it!
